Shopify SEO and speed
Shopify SEO, done in London.
Faster and findable, inside the theme you already have. The design does not change by a pixel.
Six places a Shopify store goes wrong
- Forgotten app scriptsEvery app ever installed still loads on every page.
- Camera-sized imagesA hero photo uploaded straight from the phone, served at full size.
- Theme-generated titleThe product name and nothing else, on every product.
- No Product markupCompetitors show price and stars in Google. You show a title.
- Layout shiftThe button moves as the page settles. People tap the wrong thing.
- Orphaned collectionYour best collection, linked from nowhere, so Google never finds it.
Looks identical. Behaves differently.
This is the only work I do inside a theme I did not build. Google says Core Web Vitals align with what its core ranking systems seek to reward, so it is a search job as much as a speed job.
Three steps, no redesign
A written list
What is wrong, in order of what it costs you, with the reasoning.
Fixes on a copy
Made on a duplicate of your live theme. You click around it first.
You approve, it goes live
Same design. The pages just stop lagging.

The same work, measured, on other platforms
No Shopify case study yet, so here is the same engineering on sites that are not Shopify. Each figure names the client, the tool and the dates.

Questions I get asked
Will my store look any different afterwards?
No. The work is under the surface: scripts, images, markup, metadata and the pages Google sees. Your theme and design stay exactly as they are.
What access do you need?
Collaborator access to the Shopify admin, and read access to Search Console if you have it. I work on a copy of the live theme and you approve it before it is published.
Will I have to remove apps?
Sometimes one or two. Most slow Shopify stores carry scripts from apps nobody uses any more, and removing those is the cheapest speed fix there is. I list what each app costs the page before anything is removed.
How long before Google notices?
Speed changes show in Core Web Vitals within a month, because Google measures real visits. Indexation and ranking changes take longer, and I’ll tell you what to expect for your store before we start.
Is this the same as the free audit?
The free audit tells you what is wrong and what to fix first, and you keep it either way. This service is me making those fixes.
What does it cost?
It depends on the store and what the audit finds. I quote the fixes from the audit, so you are never paying for work nobody has scoped.
Your idea needs more than a shop?
Speed and search are the fix for a shop that works. If the problem is that the shop cannot do what the idea needs, read Your idea needs more than a shop, or Show me your idea.
Find out what is slowing your store down.
The audit is free, written, and in your inbox within 48 hours. In London, we can go through it across a table.
