Technical SEO and website speed
Your website is slow, or missing from search results where competitors appear. I find out why and fix it.
I help small and mid-sized businesses in London and across the UK with page speed and technical SEO. I work on the site you already have, not a rebuild.
Slow websites, and businesses not appearing in Google
- Your pages take several seconds to load, especially on a phone, and page speed tools score them in the red.
- You are not appearing in Google for searches where your competitors show up.
- Your site has no structured data, so search engines have to guess what you do and where you do it.
- You have been told you need a new website, and want to know whether the one you have can be fixed first.
What a technical SEO and page speed review covers
Website speed and Core Web Vitals
How fast pages load and respond on a phone, measured against the Core Web Vitals Google uses, and what is slowing them down: images, scripts, fonts or hosting.
Indexation and crawlability
Whether Google can find and index the pages that matter, or is blocked by robots rules, misdirected by canonicals, or spending its time on duplicates.
Structured data
Whether your pages describe your business, services and location in the schema markup search engines read, and whether that markup is valid.
Metadata
Whether each page has its own title and description, whether they match the words people actually search for, and whether they get cut off in results.
Internal linking
Whether your most important pages are linked from the rest of the site, or sit a long way from the homepage where search engines rarely reach them.
Who ranks above you, and why
Which sites appear above yours for the searches you care about, and what they have in place that your site does not.
Diagnose first, then fix the website you already have
You get a short written summary of what is wrong, in order of impact, with the reasoning behind each item. Then I make the fixes directly on your existing site: resizing and compressing images, removing scripts that hold up the page, adding structured data, rewriting titles and descriptions, correcting sitemaps, robots rules and canonicals, and tightening internal links.
This is not a rebuild. Most slow or invisible sites have a handful of specific problems, and fixing those is a smaller job than starting again. If a rebuild really is the better option, I will tell you and explain why.
